DR. ALEXANDER HARRIS, JR.: Dr. Harris graduated form the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry in 1986. He also holds a Bachelors Degree in psychology from the University of Evansville in Indiana and a Masters Degree in counseling from Washington University. He was in private practice for 15 years before taking a full time position at the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry. His primary responsibility at the University is serving as director of the Externship Program. In addition, he teaches interns in clinic, sees patients and serves as Minority Affairs Advisor.
Dr. Harris has served as President of the St. Louis Optometric Society and has received the Society’s award for Optometrist of the Year. He currently volunteers as as tutor in the Ritenour Adult Basic Education Program. Dr. Harris joined Overland Eye Associates as a clinical associate in March of 2005. |
